TREND Terrazzo’s Never-Ending Design Possibilities

A kaleidoscope of colors, patterns and textures; speckling & dotting; fragments of glass, mirror and semi-precious gemstones; asymmetry and imperfection; geometric lines and curves! These are all qualities found in TREND Terrazzo and, it’s no wonder designers and architects have fallen in love with this beautiful, durable and easy-to-maintain engineered stone.

Energized by the outpouring of interest shown for TREND Group products displayed at Marmomac 2019 in Verona, Italy this past month, now is the ideal time to showcase the never-ending design possibilities that can be achieved with TREND terrazzo.

Whether underfoot, on walls, or gracing a countertop, our TREND Origina® and TREND Trascenda® Terrazzo products are a blend of post-consumer recycled glass, granite, quartz, quartzite and pre-consumer porcelain. Mother-of-pearl and/or bits of mirror have been incorporated into many of our creations to satisfy professionals looking to add depth, contrast, and texture to their projects through reflective elements. Plus, every color and style we offer is also available in 3 different finishes (polished, matte and honed) to provide even more versatility in design.

As one of the most beautiful and versatile materials around, TREND Terrazzo appeals to the artful eyes of designers & architects, but we would be remiss if we did not point out that engineers, focused on functionality, also choose TREND Terrazzo for many reasons.

  • It’s extremely durable. Manufactured from nature’s hardest materials like quartz and granite bonded with environmentally-friendly polymers and resins, TREND Terrazzo is non-porous, as well as scratch and stain resistant to stand up to rigorous use year-after-year.

  • It can be cut to size. Extremely adaptable and only a ¼ inch thick, TREND Terrazzo can be cut to fit nearly any space and is ideal for a range of surface applications such as, floors, wall coverings, reception areas, kitchens, bathrooms and much more.

  • It’s easy to maintain, and resists germs. TREND Terrazzo doesn’t require sealing, treating, polishing or any other type of maintenance other than a routine wipe with regular detergent and water. Unlike natural stone or wood, which contain cracks or fissures that can harbor germs, TREND Terrazzo’s non-porous surface does not absorb common bacteria lurking in kitchens, bathrooms and other living spaces.

  • It’s eco-friendly. TREND Terrazzo is comprised of up to 78% post-consumer recycled materials, contains zero VOCs and contributes measurably to LEED ratings based on credits for Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality and Innovation and Design.
